Oral-B Pro 2500 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush Review
I wanted an electric toothbrush because I have a problem with one of my teeth aching and noticed that there is a build up of plaque on it.
I have been using an ordinary toothbrush. This was quite good, but I found that I needed to use one hundred brush strokes to clean the problem tooth each day.
This is when I thought it would make sense to buy an electric toothbrush.
I do have an old electric toothbrush, one I have bought from the supermarket. I have found it fairly good but the brush part has got a bit “flattened down” so I had heard colleagues at work who had other better electric toothbrushes.
I searched the internet and saw that the Oral B Pro 2500 electric had a good reputation and could remove up to 30% of plaque.
So I as I am a member of Amazon I decided to purchase one from them.
It arrived sooner than I thought. There was a card in my letterbox to say that it was with a neighbour, so I went and collected it.
The box was quite large, this was fine, as it arrived in perfect condition.
There are some good instructions with it.
It comes with a recharging unit that has a two pin plug that you may need an adaptor for – I purchased one for a few pence on my next visit to town.
I was lucky in that my Oral B toothbrush came with a free travel case, for keeping it in and up to two brush heads.
In the package there was also a brush head and the recharging unit.
Which brings us on to…….
How Effective Is The Oral-B Pro 2500 Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush?
The brush head fixes on to the handle easily. It comes already charged – enough for one week, cleaning twice a day.
There are two speeds:
I pressed the “on” button to test it. It is quite fast, so if you press the button a second time it goes at a slower speed.
If you press the button a third time the toothbrush stops.
Great, now to put some toothpaste on the head and put it into my mouth.
Once it was in my mouth I started it again and started the cleaning the problem tooth with it, (once I had pressed the button to bring it to the slower speed, which I find is fast enough).
I concentrated on the front of the tooth where I could see the plaque and then the other sides of the tooth.
Whilst I was cleaning my problem tooth, the toothbrush “stuttered”. It does this every thirty seconds, so that you can spend thirty seconds cleaning each quarter of your mouth.
So I moved on to the next section of my mouth and completed cleaning them.
I found it very effective at cleaning my problem tooth.
Whereas I was brushing it one hundred times with a traditional toothbrush, I now only need to spend thirty seconds with the Oral B electric toothbrush.
My problem tooth does not ache so much because of this and it feels a lot cleaner all round.
In addition to this one of my teeth that had a small stain on it has had the stain virtually removed after less than a week of using the new toothbrush.
Al of my teeth feel a lot cleaner, it is similar to having your teeth cleaned at the dentist, but now you can do it yourself every day without going to the dentist for this.
Am I Pleased With My Purchase?
It is a lot better than the cheaper electric one I bought at the supermarket.
The cleaning heads should last for three months, and I have seen that on Amazon you can buy a pack of three of four quite cheaply, and they will not work out any more expensive than normal toothbrushes, plus they do a much better job.
I am very pleased with the Oral-B Pro 2500 electric rechargeable toothbrush.
